What is not in it

The three mushrooms every focus product now advertises did not make it in. Not because they are dangerous, but because their human evidence does not survive a look.
Lion's mane
The nerve growth story comes from petri dishes and mice. The most-cited human trial has an abstract reporting a cognitive benefit we could not reconcile with the statistics in its own results section.
Cordyceps
We found no human randomised trial showing it improves memory, attention or executive function against placebo. The best-powered cognition trial we found reported no effect.
Reishi
The randomised placebo-controlled trial we found measuring cognition reported no advantage over placebo, and we found no trial testing it for attention or memory in healthy adults.
In each case people improve against their own starting point, and so does the placebo group. Beating your own baseline is not a result.

- Caffeine that arrives with its counterweight. L-theanine, the amino acid in tea, is in the same capsule. It is the reason tea feels different from coffee at a similar caffeine load.
- Ingredients picked for their trials. Bacopa cleared placebo-controlled human trials. Caffeine with L-theanine is one of the most replicated findings in the field.

How fast will I feel it?
Parts of the formula act within the hour. Caffeine and L-theanine are acute, and most people notice those the first morning. Bacopa monnieri is the opposite: the human trials on it run around twelve weeks of daily use. Day one and week twelve are different questions, and SHARPE is built as a daily habit rather than a one-off jolt.
Is it vegetarian or vegan?
No. The capsule shell is gelatin, which is animal-derived. Everything inside the capsule is vegetarian, but the shell itself is not, so we would rather say so plainly than let anyone find out after they have bought a bottle.
Who shouldn't take this?
Anyone under 18, anyone pregnant or nursing, and anyone sensitive to caffeine. If you take any prescription medication, particularly anything acting on the nervous system, talk to your doctor first. Huperzine A is pharmacologically active and is the one to raise with them specifically.
Can I take it with coffee?
You can, but SHARPE already contains caffeine, so you are stacking one source on another. Most people do better treating the capsule as the first caffeine of the day and letting coffee be optional after that. If you want both, give it a week at your usual coffee intake before you decide whether to add more.
When should I take it?
In the morning, with a full glass of water. Roughly thirty minutes before the work that matters is a good default. Because it contains caffeine, we would avoid taking it after early afternoon if you want to protect your sleep, and sleep is doing more for your focus than any capsule.
What happens if I stop?
Nothing dramatic. There is no cycling requirement and no taper. If you have been taking it daily for months you may notice the caffeine leaving, the same way you would notice skipping your morning coffee for a few days.

We ship across the continental United States and internationally. Orders leave our US warehouse within 1 to 5 business days. Domestic delivery is 2 to 4 business days on regular shipping and 1 to 3 on express. International orders typically arrive within 3 to 5 business days depending on the destination.

Every supplement company that takes food safety seriously handles it this way. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete or incorrect, or does not arrive at all, contact us within 30 days and we will refund or replace it, whichever you prefer.
